Many travelers tend to overpack. But, what most don’t know, is that opting to travel light is the best way to streamline the journey to a destination. With our packing list below, you’ll be able to travel light to and from every vacation.
Travel Light on Every Trip
𝤿 Travel paperwork: Bring extra copies of your travel paperwork or an electronic copy so you can travel light.
𝤿 Electronics: Only bring the essentials. Video games or other electronics that aren’t necessarily imperative can be left at home. For the electronics that you do bring, be sure to charge them fully before packing your chargers, too.
𝤿 Personal Items: Prescription medications, daily vitamins, and other items of this nature should be included.
𝤿 Shoes: Pack one pair of flip flops or one pair of sandals, one pair of closed-toe shoes like sneakers, and one pair of dressier shoes.
𝤿 Pants: In order to travel light, you’ll need to cut down on the number of pants you pack. While it will depend on the length of your trip, we recommend packing three pairs of pants that can be easily alternated between tops.
𝤿 Tops: Pack 4-5 tops depending on the length of your vacation. Be sure to choose versatile tops that can work for several different occasions so you can travel light. Consider packing a neutral-colored sweater or jacket, too.
𝤿 Pajamas: We recommend packing 2 pajama sets that may be worn more than once to travel light.
𝤿 Accessories: To travel light, only pack a belt and inexpensive jewelry.
𝤿 Other Clothing: If you’re heading to cold weather, consider packing boots and a heavier jacket. If you’re heading to warm weather, consider packing an extra pair of sandals and a bathing suit.
𝤿 Miscellaneous: If you have room in your luggage, you can still travel light and bring along a few extras. Whether it’s a camera or a pair of shoes you might wear, go ahead and pack it, too. We only recommend leaving extra space in your suitcase if you plan on shopping and expect to need extra space for your trip home.
